Slow refund or maybe it will never arrive at all.
Like a number of other recent reviews, I had my Zaptax forms validated by customs on 9th May and still no refund issued (2 months waiting). In my latest query to ZappTax they couldn’t provide even a vague idea on when it would be paid, other than saying they know it’s very slow. They say it’s ‘guaranteed’ but who provides that guarantee - if it is ZappTax themselves and they acknowledge they are a new small company, what happens if they go out of business. No guarantee then I guess is worthwhile. They say they are better than others as they charge less fees, but that is of no use if you get 0% of your claim refunded. I’’m waiting on a substantial refund and fear they are just sitting on my money. If they could provide more clarity on WHEN the refund will be issued that would be acceptable but they wont even do that. Wouldn’t use them again as it’s just too risky.

Still no refund after 2 months
My tax-free form was validated on 10 April 2025. It’s now mid-June and I still haven’t received my refund. ZappTax keeps repeating that there are delays but gives no timeline or meaningful update. Would not recommend.
Update-
My refund was delayed after validation on 10 April, and I received it on 18 June after posting here. I’m glad it was eventually resolved, but clearer communication along the way would have made the experience much smoother.

Poor service, terrible experience.
Zapptax were brilliant when I used them last year but something has gone terribly wrong since then. My tax forms were approved 7 weeks ago. I’m still waiting for payment and there’s no proactive support or comms from Zapptax. In my latest chase they’ve informed me that I’ve been “unlucky” - but they have no idea when I’ll be paid because it’s down to when the tax authorities pay them and they don't have the funds to pay ahead of this. I guess I’ll just have to keep waiting until my lucky day because Zapptax aren’t interested in helping me.

2 months without refund
It has been 2 months but still no information about my refund. Tried to contact then multiple times but they have no real answer. Dont use ZappTax for your purchases.

Incrediblly fast and professional service. Despite several emails asking my to update my travel documents, I forgot to add one of them that was requières and ignored several emails. I have only realised my mistake when I was queuing at the customs. I have then updated the documents that were reviewed and updated in less than 2 minutes. I sent them a email and 2 minutes after my detox document was issued and I was able to show it at the customs. Totally unexpected in a normal day but even more when travelling on December 30th.
