Was my first time, the prompt and accurate responses were remarkable since I got to know zapp tax till my departure on 13th I must say was excellent service and most of all with standing my many questions.

It’s very easy to get my tax refund. For now only 3 countries in Europe, I hope there will be more in the future!
And I’m really appreciated Leace who helped me get my money back, because of some reason so there’s a problem with my refund but Leace did all the best to make sure that I could get my money and I got it!
It’s really good experience. I recommend for you guys and I will use it in the future too

At first, my friend recommended Zapptax, a tax refund company, to me. But I had some doubts. Because I usually get my tax refund form directly from the store. I read the reviews online and some said they were good and some said they were bad. I went to France last year and used Zapptax’s tax refund service, but I waited the refund a long time! I almost thought I was cheated. I have been contacting their customer service and luckily they have been patiently replying to me. I went to France again last month, and I didn’t expect that the tax refund was processed in just a week or two this time. Zapptax told me that last year was slower due to special circumstances, but 100% of their users received money. I think this APP is still worth recommending. It is very convenient. You can upload both large and small purchases. The tax refund rate is also quite high. There is also a manual customer service available at any time.

Living abroad for almost 10 years, I can say that Zapptax transformed my detax experience when I started using it 5 years ago. It's much more user friendly than standard detax operators, (much) less pricy, and the support service reacts at lightning, 24/7.
The app is easy to use, paperworks with the customs are automated, and ZappTax allows smaller purchases to be detaxed than most other operators.
On top of that, they are usually quite swift to reimburse.

Some reviews say they got their refund within 2 weeks. That’s not the case for everyone. Zapptax has been seating in my refund for close to 3 months now. Unsure how they decide who get their money faster than other but after many request they are still unable to provide a simple timeframe for the reimbursement. This is complete false advertising. They are no where close to 48hours timeframe as they promise on their web communication. Good idea but poor operation does not make this service viable.

Customer service is superb. I had a complicated situation in that I didn't know about this app before departing, the store I purchased from said I could take care of VAT refund at the airport, and that was not true. I had a invoice stamped by customs, but had no Tax-Free form. ZappTax assisted me in getting this into their system and the refund is now being processed. Of course, until I actually see the refund I can't be certain it all is fine, but it's looking good and I will definitely use this app on future trips.

Grown to fast and unable to cope.
In line with latest reviews. I've used the service many times without problem. But I'm now on 3.5 months and counting waiting for a refund.

That's very poor way of managing expectations. The worst? This article on the app mentioning longer time frame (MAXIMUM 3 MONTHS is written). When I mentioned that to customer service the reply was embarrassing: oh it's more a guidance than anything.

I don't trust the service anymore. I'm currently on holiday and filled info on the app but won't submit anything because I can't trust ZappTax anymore unfortunately

I used Zapptax for the first time this Summer 23, process was smooth, app makes it easier and everything went well, so far.
My tax forms were validated on in September 3rd so nothing left but wait for the refund.
It’s been 100 days, still no refund, and now were are entering another holiday peak season which might delay again the process. My refund is only 110€ and makes me wonder if Zapptax can’t refund such a small amount, how long will I have to wait for a bigger one ?
App is good, but refund process is way too long, I don’t think I’ll keep using Zapptax in the future.

Refund Was pending for few days but after getting in touch with the reactive team of ZappTax refund was sent within minutes. Just be advised that if your transfer may incur fees (foreign bank account, etc) it might take some time but eu/french accounts ok. Would recommend and use probably again.
